I am on set on D with the break on ...

1. let go of the break and start rolling as normal
2. hit the gas paddle and around 1500 rpms I hear a click or pop sound (like when you turn your car off the car has pops etc...

this happens only once from when i am standing still... every time i hit a red light and accelarate again I hear the pop sound.... its becoming very annoying and I am very concerned...

- just want to note that I have a Berk Air intake installed 2 weeks ago.

The car is only 1400Miles old.

think we have the same problem... 2004 se...
first i could hear the sound only when it was raining (wet conditions) .. now i realise if i brake really hard and then move forward, i will hear the sound (faint if not wet condtions). also after the brake if going up a slope it is mre pronounced..

took it to the dealer and they heard it .. but do not know what it is.
at the moment they have made a note ... "unjustified repair caused ... due to hard braking" .. have not disputed it yet as i want them to hear it (when it rains or wet) in normal ... stop at red light and move ...

i have the same weird noise, my 96 Pathfinder had it, exhaust shield rattle

It could be broken heat shield that some have experienced. There might be a TSB for it in the sticky.
