Remote Start Stopped Working

Anyway I have remote start on the car installed by Nissan with the regular remotes. Because before we had different remotes on the 2004. Anyway my dad turned on the car while he was inside. When he came out the car had the panic horn and lights flashing while the car was on. Since then the Remote Start wouldn't work. Anyone know what's going on ?

Looks like you might be in valet mode, try one of the following.
hit this buttons secuentally on your remote, LOCK-UNLOCK-LOCK (try to do it fast but no too fast.) if that doesnt work try the opposite, UNLOCK-LOCK-UNLOCK,
this are the most common methods to for newer alarms to set the valet mode,
good luck.

Don't do that unless you know how to program your remote start.....some installer use Voltage sensing instead of running a tach wire....if you undo your battery it'll try to start but it won't stay crank......either way take it back to Nissan and have the orginal installer look at it.....

Isnt tach wire a voltage signal too. ??? so whats the difference, i know tach is a low voltage variable signal, ive also heard of that other installation method, and i know it could try to start the car when you reconect the battery... that just made me remeber that there should be a on/off toggle switch for the remote start, as long as that one is off you can do whater work you want to your car without worring about the alarm starting up the car., if that alarma is wired that way(12v sensing instead of tach) it has to have that switch and a label near the battery that gives you the warnig for the remote start.
so your mission is to find that switch, if you cant, do take it in to nissan, better be safe that sorry. and sorry for the missing information on my first response.
