Love the 22s so much that im going to ditch my 20s and get some. I lowerd my car with the eibach springs. Ive been looking the last week and know for a fact i can sqeeze 22s in there with the right rubber. Does anyone else have 22 with just the eibach springs not coil overs??? Will it make that much of a differance?

what diffrence are you looking for? there won't be any diffrence other than the ride smoothness.. they will be stiffer with the coils vs the eibachs.. you should be able to do it just fine with the eibachs..

other than that there is nothing else diffrent about springs and coils exept you can adjust the coils and not the springs..

you would have to be more clear with the diffrence question if I didn't cover it with this post..

What i really meant to say was if you have coilovers and the say the back was too low you would ajust the ride height back there. With the springs they will just fit or they wont.

oh, yea with the springs they will fit fine since they only drop an 1/8 of an inch... I dropped more than that..

I think only fronts will do though, I know they recommend all 4, but take a look at this pic.. I dropped the front only and right here it looks as level as it can be.. with the rear it will prob look like the rear will be lower... I don't know what looks better to you so here is a pic so you can judge..

front only

front and rear

so, now you need to put some adult-sized brakes on that puppy....

btw, I like the rear height in the first pic better. Looks kind of odd to have the rears tucked and the fronts not.....reminds me of one of those "Le Cars" or a Citroen.....

Man.........that sh*t looks sick.........congrats........yo, they stole my stocks and left my poor max sitting on bricks........I just slapped on some 20's and you 're making me want to return them and get me some 22's............How is the wear on your tires gonna be like..........how is your camber adjustment doing........are the wheels leaning towards the inside, which will lead to un-even tire wear..............how's the alignement doing...........let me know, as I'm really thinking of closing the gap on mine

I needed an alignment cause of the drop, but the rims are perfectly straight camber wize.. I didn't need to adjust them at all in that way..

I recommend 22x8'' at 40mm offset for minimal rubbing on the front... I have 22x9'' and they are too wide for the front and rub...

good luck and keep me updated if you get 22s.. hopefully I can welcome you to the double deuce club..

TEK..

Hey tek. So whats the front like with the rubbing issue? I have my 22s on the way and there also 9 inches wide. Its hard to find 22x8.5 or smaller that i liked the style of the wheel. With my 20x8.5 rim and a 245/35/20 tires its a pretty close fit with the steering wheel turned full. I will have a 255/30/22 tires on with the dub duces. Where do they rub and how does it affect you daily driving?

Hey Tek, Is that a FWD or RWD Rim or does it make a difference? I never see a FWD rim come in a 22 incher.

Check out the platinum wheels. They make a few 22 inchers for fwd and they arent the only company.

it has been raining here so my rims are mad dirty so don't flame me.. I will wash it today..

they fit good, don't get me wrong....

now you will have more rubbing with the rims if you drop

if you don't you will have less of a rub..

I will explain.......... these pics here are when not dropped, at 9 inches wide no matter what you do you will get this.. thats the front of the tire and the back of the tire rubbing the well once its turning...

now, if you drop..... notice that our fender where the wheel goes is not completly round.. there is a box about where the bumper meets the well.. well that box goes around the bolt that attaches the bumper to the fender to hold it in place... if you drop like I did or atleast 2 inches, that will get sheared off like on the pic..

here it is, now what's it going to be RUB or RUB more, that is the question..

I can tell you that it don't sound loud or anything like that, so don't worry about people hearing it or so..

anything else just hit me up..

I think they gave me four front wheels for a 4x4, cause they are suv rims... I'm not sure about fitting RWD on a FWD car...

3 peice asanti wheels... look them up. I was going to get those but i wanted to drop it also, so I had to make room budget wise for the coils..

look here: http://www.asantiwheels.com/mainmenu.html

click on forged, and look at the AF 120 wheel.. that would look incredible on your ride..

I thought about purchasing 20 for my max. How much should each after market rim weight? Also, does anyone know where to get the upper and lower grill? The 265hp is that rear wheel HP or fly wheel rating?
