Will you buy another Max?
#401
Definitely will not.
I've had nothing but problems with my 2006 Maxima. Bussam Nissan in Tricounty (Springdale) Ohio was rude then unresponsive after giving me the runaround during a repair I was fully paying for and Nissan USA did nothing except give the the generic "we will check into this issue and dealer" response.
I am keeping the Maxima and driving it until I decide to get something new (probably when it completely dies) because it's paid off. Still dealing with poor quality "premium" rims constantly leaking and needing resurfacing/cleaning on the inside.
The features, comfort, power and look are very nice and I can even accept that perhaps I happened to get a lemon or just unlucky enough to get a car with various little problems, however poor engineering of the battery harness and a complete lack of customer support from the Nissan dealership and Nissan USA has sold me on not buying another Nissan.

Rims
I had the same problem with my Rims, I finally bit the bullet and bought some aftermarket non-chrome.
Definitely will not.

I'm sure the car looks better "in person", but that picture gives me the dizzyish kind of headache that makes me think I'm gonna . . . .
. . . So I guess "sick" is the right word for once . . .

No more Max
I'm 6'2'' and I don't fit into the new Maxima. I like to take friends out to church and stuff (don't judge me), and the back seat has really bad headroom.
Sad to say, while I love the Max, I won't buy another one unless the headroom in the front improves (and do it with a sunroof, yo!)

While I agree that the headroom in the back seat is not that good for those of us who are tall, I have no problem with the headroom in the front seat of my 04. In fact there is excess front seat headroom for me at 6'2".
The back seat headroom appears good for those up to about 6 feet tall or so.
I see you are driving a 6-speed. The lack of that option in the new Max is the reason I will not buy one. If they bring that option back (they have the trannies available), then it would be top on my list when the time comes to replace this one.

my maxima was a hand-me down so i didnt "choose" it but im not complaning either. my only big complaint is that its not a manual. will i ever buy one on my own? maybe. i will buy a sports car than i will need a daily driver. thats where i might buy a maxima or some type of sedan.
