Nope. You are sadly misinformed on this. Everything depends on WHAT STATE YOU ARE IN , HOW THE TINT LAWS OF THAT STATE ARE WRITTEN, and HOW THE TINT LAWS OF THAT STATE ARE ENFORCED WHERE YOU HAPPEN TO BE.
You CAN and sometimes WILL be pulled over in the county where I live for nothing more than dark tint or loud radio or loud exhaust or illegal lights on your car. My wife was stopped because her fog lights (OEM, properly aimed downward) were on when it was not foggy.
Those who assume tint laws are the same everywhere, and are loosely enforce everywhere help many cities and counties across the nation (such as mine) maintain a nice income from fines.
