I had the same problem on my 96 maxima from Montreal, I never fixed it and ended up having my floor completly rotted out.... that and the eastern Canada winters were the demise of my old maxima

I just bought a 98 on the west coast and there is not a spec of rust! ANYWHERE!!

Good luck with your leak, I would try and have it fixed ASAP before your car turns to a rust bucket like my old one!
