Aftermarket Cams and idle ignition timing

Hey guys,
I want to clarify something. I'm running nismo knockoff cams and I've been forced to raise my idle to about 850RPM at idle in D and it's around 1000RPM in P. If I leave the idle at 650 RPM in P which is stock, the car shakes like crazy and timing fluctuates between 7-20*.

As of now, my ignition timing is at 6* in P with the idle at 1000 RPM. I know the ECU will adjust timing to get the idle down but I wanted to know how much of an effect directly or indirectly( idle adjustments) a big valve overlap has on ignition timing on our cars. Has anyone been able to retain the 15* advance at idle with bigger cams?
