If you search you will find many threads on this, i'm positive on that but replacing cat won't help, Your just hearing the noise from there cause it's originating from the back side of the engine where your manifold connects to the y-pipe...I think it has something to do with the variable valve timing... It's normal, just make sure everything is good as far as plugs and oil and use 10w30 not 5w30 as this may help some...
