yea that's the way it should be. if your car is on, then rpm should never read zero. it should always be 700 (idle) or higher (driving the car). when i said pushing the clutch, i was ONLY referring to pushing the clutch WHILE the problem is occuring. not in every-day driving situations. as long as the car is behaving properly, then no, pushing the clutch will not make the rpm say zero. sorry for that confusion
