but, keep in mind, if the rpm is reading zero BEFORE you even touch the clutch pedal... the engine is still physically spinning, even if the tach reads zero. As soon as you push the clutch, it really does go to 0rpm, but the way a manual tranny works, regardless what the tach says, the engine will still be spinning until you push the clutch. To me, that's the most important piece of info in the thread, is if the tach falls to zero BEFORE you push the clutch.
