Would have saved trouble since the pwm is usually used for dimming the leds when you're going to run two voltages to the leds. Extra wiring that doesn't need to be there IMO.

I used a PWM cause I can adjust to my liking. They are not just running lights, I can turn them off I if I wanted to. This was a small project for me to see how LED lighting are and how PWM works. Seeing a diagram is great, but hands on is better. PWM is not necessary used for application of two voltages. It is also known as a DC motor speed controller, means you can control the out put of a single DC power signal with this unit.
