gaming computer....it would be good for alot of things. You think thats so bad? I just made my list as complete as I could. If you check the first ride of the month a guy lists a accelerometer as a mod. Gaming computer could keep my passenger entertained, allow them to mix my music much easier than with a CD player, be used to store mapquest directions and maps, I could use it to modify fuel air maps and more with an emanage blue, and etc. I think it's a VERY good mod and not that expensive since I have been building my own computers for 5 years now and prices on quality components are at an all time low. Not to mention a desktop is cheaper, easier to upgrade or repair and etc. than a laptop and since everything else in my car is fixed by me I wouldn't want one of my mods to be less than easy to mess with than the car I put it in.
I built my current gaming rig a whole year and a half ago and it runs 24/7, no BSODs, no unexpected part failures (the power supply went out after a year but I had a replacement ready since it came with the case and was the only one that fit without some cutting and I knew it would likely fail since plenty of people had complained about 1 month to 1 year failures). Cost me $800 total, ~$200 graphics card, ~$50 cpu, $30 DVD drive, ~$80 motherboard, etc. The processor runs about 40C with a 33% overclock and I could game nonstop till death and never have to worry about it giving out on me. Even at a year old, it meets requirements for the most graphically intensive game out there, Crysis. If I built a new computer for my car it would cost closer to $600 which isn't that bad since some people would spend half that much on a pipe.
