Cam Position Sensor Leaking?

Cam Position Sensor Leaking?
Check the attached photo...
I think I've got oil seeping from around the cam position sensor, as opposed to oil being blown "up" to just look like a leak from around the sensor.
This being the case is this fix just as simple as replacing the sensor or resealing it?
Not sure I've heard of an oil seep at this location.
Any input?
BTW: this is a 99.5 SE L.

p,
That table contains three part numbers for cam position sensor O rings right?
These are dealer part numbers, right?
Or if I can find an O ring at a parts store, that'll work too, right?
So the leak is for real, but easily fixed with a replacement O ring, right?

It should be fixable with another o-ring, yes. The FAST screenshot above shows dealer part numbers for the different o-rings (depending on production date and sensor manufacturer), or you could just as easily find an o-ring that fits and use that.

i just bought my maxima a month ago and it looked the same. i just took some silicone gasket and lightly smeared it around the old seal and the leak is fixed. if you have some at home just use that. i happened to have a half used tube of hondabond. if you dont have it then just buy a new seal.

Pulled the sensor this morning. The O ring was so hard as a rock, I thought at first there was no O ring present at all.
I jabbed what looked like it should be an O ring with my fingernail and it was so hard I thought it was just part of the plastic body of the sensor.
Realized what it was, pulled and broke it off with screw driver and replaced it with one I had on my parts box.
We'll see how it works out.
Thanks for the help...
