Use your finger nail and see if the surface of the rotor has any grooves like a record. It should not have and grooves but it should have cross hatched scratches(scratches in two directions that look like a lot of X's on the rotor). If it has grooves it will make the pads move around and cause noise. You can reduce it by making a cross hatched pattern on the rotors with rough sand paper.
