The "goo" isn't good enough. The pads ride in some brackets inside the caliper. These surfaces vibrate and create the high pitched squeal noise. Make sure the "ears" that the pads ride in are clean and have a dab of high temp grease. DAB = TINY AMOUNT. Also make sure the area in the caliper that these pads slide in are clean.
