I never understood those "Worksite" boomboxes that look all rugged. You're paying extra money just because it's styled like a hand drill, that's about it. Besides, it's sitting on a shelf its entire life.

Anyway, I hate the radio. I listen to it from time to time and I hear more commercials than music. Turning on the radio is like turning on MTV. Otherwise, I do need something to listen to while I'm turning bolts and soldering. Since I primarily use a laptop or MP3 player as my primary source of music, I went to wal-mart and got an amplified set of computer speakers (2.1). Was like $20 and hooked right up to my Creative Zen. But then I ended up using it on my computer, so I brought in a panasonic shelf system. I gotta say, it's pretty damn good, 250W of "Superwoofer" power. It's enough to ring clear as a bell when I'm working way outside the garage.
