dave b got me the sensor, it was a new 01 maf, i removed the wire from the old one and didnt solder, but clamped the wire pretty tight, the cars doin it again just now and i cant save it. ive restarted it pulled fuses, its starting to seem hopeless, do you think i could have already ruined a new maf? why would it be doing the same exact thing that indicated the bad MAF sensor in the first place? ive tried resetting the ecu like thirty times literally even got a stopwatch and timed myself and could not seem to get the 1st CEL in the procedure to come on when i did the "RESET the ecu procedure". turn car on wait 3sec, pump pedal 5x, wait 7sec, press and hold pedal for 10 seconds and the CEL never lights up. ill keep tryin'

thanks in advance
