Vehicle Immobilizer System restart??

Hey I had a new key programmed at the dealership, and i think it dropped the programming some how. I have a 2001 GLE. I am wondering is there any other way to bypass or RESET the Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System, BEFORE i resort to my last attempt of having my car towed to the dealership?

Thanks.....tried searching, SEARCHING DOES not work....all the old links are no longer cached properly with google or HAVE been changed

I doubt it, a Consult II is probably the only option here.

If you try to start the car without the proper key up to 5 times, Immobilizer will go into a lockout mode and the only way to get it working again, is to reprogram the ecu with Consult II.
Believe me. It happened to me before. I had to tow the car to the dealer to get it reprogrammed. I think they charged like an hour of labor.

But its got to be the dealers fault because the 2nd key they gave me was a CHEAP *** ILCO generic...i didnt even see the damn transponder on the side of the key...

I towed it up there...and im pretty sure by now, Using Consult II to reprogram the ECU is the only way that its gonna work

it wont cost me a dime...THATS FOR DAMN SURE......AAA and AARP sure come in handy with the TOWS +1!!!!

thanks for the info fellas
