Need HELP ASAP!

My brother just called me and said hes stranded on the side of the highway with his 2002 Maxima SE 6spd. It has a Frankencar intake thats it. Anyways, he said the engine started dieing out on him so he pulled over to the shoulder to take a look and didnt see anything funny. So he tried restarting the car and it would barely idle then shut off. Anybody experienced this before? Oh yeah my dad's on his way to go help him.

Dude that same thing happened to me. Check the connections before and after MAF. If its getting too much air the car just dies. My intake fell off and I thought I blew my tranny cuz when I rev it up it would bog and die.

The idler vacuum hose must have popped off. Tell him to check hoses off the frankencar midpipe and for any obstructions on the maf. Afterwards disconnect the negative battery terminal and let it sit for an hour. Hopefully it's ok!

The POS is going into the dealership.. it didnt go away. Stupid maxima left me stranded on side of highway for 3 hours until my dad some how got it run (poorly) so I cruised it home and put the stock airbox back on and told dealer to pick it up. Oh and I also wanted to say Trophy Nissan are all a bunch of ***s that love to give you the run-around and not pay for anything.
