Replacement for STA509A.

I designed this in KIcad and had the PCB's printed by JLCPCB. The design that was floating around the internet works in theory but is too tall to fit inside the ECU and be able to put the cover back on. My revised version has a smaller form factor that will fit inside the ECU and allow for a factory retrofit. I have also designed a revision 3.0 that has integrated circuit protection that in the event the motor mounts and or idle air control valve experience a short circuit over current situation or a thermal overload it will disconnect the load and protect the ECU and will not reset untill power is cycled to the ECU IE disconnecting the battery or turning the ignition off and then back on.

The results of this will be the ability to retain the factory electric motor mounts and throttle body coolant circuit and in the event of a failure all that will happen is a check engine light and what ever the IACV does when it is disabled or faulty with no other ill effects like a fried ECU . I can send my .gbr files and part numbers to whoever is interested.

Very nice. Thank you.
Can you post the files on github or similar?
Did you make any extras that you'd like to sell?

No doubt. I wish i could have owned a 2000 maxima back in the day. I bought maxi for my son who is about to start driving picked it up for 500 bucks. To be honest the more i help him work on it the more i wish i would have gotten it for myself and found him a different car, its really changed my mind on nissan, tbh

Will post files as soon as i can. I don't really know what i would charge didn't really think about it. I will and get back to you, probably enough to cover my costs and a few cold beers lol

I sure can post my files, let me create a github account this weekend and ill be more than happy .

I started messing around with ECU repair at work with our yale, and crown forklifts because the turn around time was so unreasonable, then got into pump controllers and the forklift version of the body control modules just a hobby of sorts.

Are there any later models that have similar defects that one could possibly tinker around with developing a workable solution for, that the OEM either over charges to provide or has no solution at all ? if so let me know im always looking for a fun puzzle to figure out for the sake of our right to repair.
