You should be able to remove the 2 strut mount bolts, tie rod ends, and the ball joint and it should allow the spindle to swing out of the way. There may be one more thing, but you don’t need to remove the LCA to replace the axles

Hey there, multiple ways to change out the cv axles. You can just unbolt the strut and end links, and then swing the spindle around carefully while the ball joint is still connected. This offers just enough room to get the cv axles out. Be careful and place a shop towel over the new boots when installing as you can easily rough up the new boots when trying to re-install.
You can also do it by removing the control arm, which gives a lot more room. Just be careful because I've found that the threads are easily stripped on the bolts that hold the control arm on to the undercarriage. Also, removal of the control arm requires large sockets (22, 24, and 27mm).

By spindle, I believe you'all are referring to the steering knuckle?? If the axle appears to be stuck in steering knuckle, you can gentle tap on axle with axle nut still attached, or even add a small wood block and tap with regular hammer. Think finesse, as you do not want to damage threads on the axle shaft ends. Should slide out pretty after that.

Don't forget to get the seals at the dealer, were pretty cheap. Get both sides if your doing both axles.
