Body kit

VIS racing body kit on car ID Good or not? I like the front and side skirts from the kit but would get a different rear bumper, probably the evo one. Before i buy one i want to know if the kits are good, if the website is good, and if not where to get a good kit from... Also consodering the stillen kit but want to explore all options

The photos make it seem that way but when you take just the front rear and skirts in its not too ricey... Plus im only doing it because i like the front bumper and side skirts more than the stillen and the rear bumper is cheaper

you are not in the popular camp so you are on your own, just don't do fiberglass and you will be good.

this thread is useless... make a better title, and form more of a question...

VIS racing body kit on car ID Good or not?

??? style is a matter of opinion, and search and u may find your answer, these cars are fifteen years old, if you like body kits then the biggest thing to know is stay away from fiberglass

the front kinda reminds me of a 4th gen, imo it doesn't look terrible or ricey- just different. looks like you'd have to work up some sort of custom fog lights if you went that route.

not really a fan of the sides and back tho

Well i wanted to know if the brand was good, i need my bumper painted so the stillen kit makes me doubt it aonce i will need to paint my bumper and parts the skirts on the stillen kit are eh i like the front lip but the bumper on the kit is basically the same with a better grill set up( like the sentra) it just seems like i get more bang for my buck with the kit

I would NEVER put nothing like that on my Max!!! Wayy too ricey imho. Just put the side skirts from an 2002 max on yours.

I hate the rear bumper on the kot so i agree, the fromt bumper i like because of the grill set up and the skirts because i feel like it would look weird to add length every where but the side

Trust me, just put the side skirts and mud flaps from the 2002 on to yours and you will be satisfied. Also, you can add the stillen front lip that comes on the AE edition maxima on yours too. That way your adding an nice look to the car but not making it too 'ricey'.

I love the stillen lip and mud flaps is a greta idea my maxima is 02 so i think ill keep the skirts stock the rear bumper needed some painting and i hate how high it looks which is why it thought to get a kit... Now im thinking of the rear stillen valance stock skirts mud flaps... Only thing is i hate front grill of the car and wish it was more like

Only reason i wanted to get the fromt bumper from the kit... If i could find a mesh or fabricate one to look like it i would get the front and rear stillen atock skirts and mud flaps... Great shout on mud flaps another thing added to the list!

All that being said how much length does the stillen rear valance add and im guessing the front lip adds no length?

About an inch on the front and rear at the deepest points.
You're better off dropping your cars suspension if you don't like the height. It's gonna look weirder with the body kit if it bothers you so much already.

I completly agree with you on ride height, i have an fully loaded se with 17's, and it sits like a semi truck lol, im gonna add the skirts and mud flaps from an 2002 Max and than i may drop it an half of inch all around. Than i might be satisfied.

Go too low and the car eats through cv boots. About twice a year both sides minimum)

it will be dropped i just wanted the rear bumper to be lower because it looks higher, also i dont like the shape of the rear bumper but from what im reading im just going to the the stillen rear valance to add enough that i will be happy and will look good

The Stillen rear valence without any sort of lip design in the front looks really odd from the side IMO. The Stillen front lip looks great on its own, but I'm not a big fan of the rear valence alone since the kit does add depth on the sides as well.

Here's my ride height on H&Rs with the front Stillen lip. Rear wheels sit really low.

paint is paint, if you think replacing an entire bumper is two birds one stone I can see why, but at end of day if you are painting what is the difference of repainting old bumper with a new lip , or painting an entire new bumper?

but yes if there was ever a time to get this VIS bumper now would be it.... post pics ! not many people go that route and it would help others.
