03 Maxima front end conversion on an 02 I35

I'm new here, picked up a good condition 02 i35 with front end damage for cheap, runs and drives great and is clean except for the damage. I'm replacing the bumper, fenders, hood, front radiator support and bumper bracket/ crash bar. I have done some research and found 4th gen conversions but haven't seen a 5th gen. Anyone have any advice whether this will fit or not? The i35 grill is built into the hood where as the grill is in the front bumper on the maxima, the door lines look the same and the part number for the front radiator support and impact bar are the same between the two. I'll have to buy maxima headlights but I'm assuming the mounting points for the panels will be the same? Any advice would help! I'll keep everyone posted as well!

What is the point when it doesn't go with the rear?

The point is that I can get a maxima front end a lot cheaper and the only differences would be the arches in the front fenders.

You will find a little difference in the wiring for the headlights. The maxima has 5 wires going to each headlight while the Infiniti has 4. The difference is that the Maxima has the parking light built into the headlight assembly and needs the extra wire for that. That also means that the connector that plugs onto the headlight assembly is different. There are actually 2 connectors on the headlight assembly. One connector is for the high beam and this is the same on the 2 cars. The other connector serves the low beam and on the Maxima, the parking light.

This is a minor inconvenience, just making you aware. If you get the Maxima lights, get about 6 inches of the wire harness with the headlight connectors and splice the wires.

Thanks for the advice! I noticed that, I picked up a new bumper today for 70 and can get the rest for 200 and just like the maxima look better than the i35 imo

Huh!? You think the I35 is uglier than the Maxima

You can make a serious wannabe VIP car out of the i35

Not into the vip stuff, like the rear end but the front could of came out better, it'll be different, hoping to lower it and get some 370 Rays on it.

should be an easy conversion. I personally never liked the i35 front end either. On top of that, those headlights are hard to come by. The maxima headlights can be had for cheap now a days. post some pics of the car when done.

Yeah well I bought the car for 200 runs and drives fine, just had that minor front end damage, inside is mint with the rest of the body, I got a 03 bumper new for 80 and front radiator support for 90. The frame is getting straightened at my work and then I'll put her back together. I priced out all the parts of I were to go infiniti vs maxima and I'm saving over 1400 dollars.. So it was an easy choice and it'll be custom having a stillen maxima front end with the i35 rear!
