Drivers side A/C evap leak

I have a 5th Gen Maxima with 204,000 miles. Original clutch, have only had to replace the alternator and radiator. Normal maintenance and regular fluid flushes. Never been hit. I have water that puddles on driver's side carpet only when A/C is run. Weather has been bone dry and car is garaged. It is not outside water. Have changed the in cabin air filters and vacuumed out air box regularly. Poured water in the airbox and it comes right out through the firewall. Does anyone have any idea where this water is coming from? I am mechanically savvy so let it rip if you have any ideas Thanks

If I were to guess, I would probably check the fresh air inlet to see if water might be leaking from there into between the firewall. other than that I can safely say evaporator case leaks only leak on passenger side due to its location.

You seem to know the anatomy of the firewall. Is there a kinda void or cavity where the evap water could get trapped if the ac drain hose was chafed and then I would be getting a seepage through the seam on the floorpan ? Three years ago I was getting water on the passenger side, pulled up the carpet, let it dry and caulked that seam. No water on that side. What a pain this is. You know more than the dealers I've asked
