Hey.
I had a bad coil on #1.
My question is when the coil fails to fire, does the ECU also cut signal to the
injector to stop wall wash? Or is this sorta advanced stuff for a 2000 maxima?

Reason I ask is after a commute to work and back I didn't see or smell any fuel on #1.


On a side note. Which one of these are the ones to get? the "good ones".

Ignition coils you should go OEM (new or used)

When a coil fails it does so gradually. So sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You should replace it before it gets to the point that it has completely failed.

When it gets closer to failing all the time you will start getting a misfire code...once it fails completely you will start smelling fuel.

It does works on and off sometimes.
