Hi. I have just seen that my front tires are
very worth down on the inside. 1 side has cords showing and the other
is partially showing cord.

Is there an adjustment somewhere on these things? I'm pretty noob to maximas.

It all makes sense now because my front tires always looked like they were
low on air and now it seems that it's just from the wheels negitive camber flexing them.

Running 215/60/16s.

I have just read that there is no camber correction on 5 gen maximas. ****.

I'm going to try and get an alignment soon.
Now I'm thinking toe since it's never been in a crash.

But how does toe go out of alignment?
I've replaced the struts not too long ago without rotating or even touch the tie rods.

Btw I have 1 tire in the rear that is 225/60/16... with that give me tranny problems or tranny wear if I put it in the front with a 215/60/16? For now.

Thanks.

not sure the reasoning behind why it goes out of alignment. i had mine done recently when i noticed uneven wear on the inside to a much lesser degree than yours

This happened to me with my 4th gen. Went through a couple of pairs already. I replaced both axles, tein tie rod ends and basically all the suspension. In the end you still get negative camber from lowering the car too much

But again this is my 96 max. I havent messed with my 5.5 gen yet other than replacing struts

You can run different size tires on the front if you don't have a limited slip differential.

^cool.
Thanks.

My suspension is totally stock.
Could the strut hats be bolted on backwards or something to give me crazy camber or toe like this?

Check your rack and pinion bushings. That's what happened to me and it was bad rack and pinion bushing on the driver side on my 97 4th gen and now no problems. The bushings play a major role in steering and alignment. This is the cheapest route before replacing any suspension parts. This is what bad bushings usually do is that the tire wear on the inside because the rack and pinion is no longer in place which makes it move around a lot.

^thank I'll check that out! Both tires had the same wear?
Also, the tie rods are nice and solid so that's not it.
