EZ Street coilovers backordered

I finally got the money for coilovers and made the order. I didn't get any tracking number email or anything so I called Megan. They we're slacking off and because I called they pushed the order through to the warehouse. Ok, done deal right? No.

An hour later I get a call from the warehouse saying they don't have any EZ streets for me except for one incomplete set that isn't sellable. They try and up-sell me to the $900 street series to which I decline because it makes sense to **** me off and then up-sell me right? No, so the guy says he'll call me back and never does. I called back, same deal. They say they don't know anything and say they'll email me. Never did.

How long does a typical backorder take? I'm thinking I should demand street series for the price of EZ streets or cancel the order and get them somewhere else.

A backorder can take 24 hrs, 240 hrs, 2400 hrs, 24000 hours, it's a guessing game

I heard from another company they won't get any until the 24th. I'm beginning to question if waiting the month for these coilovers is worth it. Or if I should cancel it, save for the month and buy tein super streets or something.

Ask them to upgrade to better coilovers for free or ask for a full refund.

BC Racing Coilovers

Are BC Coilovers any good? I have D2 Racing on my 02 Maxima. They make a lot of noise - clunk, grind, crunch, rattles, etc. Pretty much garbage.

Supposedly Megan coilovers are made by the same guys who make D2's. BC's seem to have great quality but in all honesty all of our coilovers aside from JIC's have flaws.

They are at the mercy of the Taiwanese sweatshops that make these coilovers at this point.

Cancel your order and buy coilovers that are in stock.

Which is why I said you are at the mercy of the Taiwanese sweatshops. Eventually stores run out of stock, distributors order more, and manufacturers don't have raw materials or production is backed up, and the lead time is compounded.

So you're saying order another brand of coilovers that are actually in stock. I see now

I wouldn't trust a coilover setup called "EZ Street" to begin with...sorry, RC...

I'd save up a few extra dollars and go with a set of name-brand coils. I had Ksports on my Maxima, and they rode and handled great.

Funny you say that. I actually got tired of the immense back order and bought the next step up from a member here on the .org... I can't remember the name of them but they are the $1000 ones.

Edit: Here is what I just bought.

I couldn't agree more... I was going to suggest Teins with the EDFC.

Glad you picked those up, I think you'll like them. I have Megans on my 4gen track Maxima and really like them.

Coil over suggestions

What does everyone suggest for a middle of the pack coil over kit for a 95 Max? Don't wanna spend an insane amount but don't just want springs.

I would recommend against Tein due to them not being able to go that low.

BCs, K sport, D2 are all great coilovers for this car.

How low do you need to go? I recently bought a 5th gen Maxima with Teins w/ EDFC and I can't even get my pinky in there. The tire is up in the fender slightly. It's almost too low for my taste, especially with the Stillen lip kit installed.

I have 350z 18's with 225/40/18 and I'm going to be lowered right over the tire. Just enough to where you can't stick a finger in there

Of course, but IMO you made it sound like the drop on Teins is weaksauce, like the drop you get with struts and aftermarket springs.
