Ebay struts

Ebay struts
I'm looking to replace the two front struts on my 5th gen but I'm on a budget and I only anticipate keeping the car for another two years or less. That being said, I'm considering committing automotive blasphemy and putting ebay struts on my car. I can get a set for $80. I know you get what you pay for, but does $80 get you struts for two years? What do you think?

Last time I checked, Ebay doesn't make products.

Get the Sensen. I Bought mine on ebay for cheap and put them on my 5th gen. No problems with them at all.
This guy knows what's up. Ebay does not manufacture anything. People and businesses sell stuff through them. There are crappy products and there are great products. Which brand are you looking into is the question here.

Alright well if I have two people voting for the Sensens i'm all over that. Thanks for the responses. I am now trying to find a strut and coil assembly made by them, but that is proving more difficult. Just looking for the two fronts if anybody knows a place. Thanks!

I had sensens on for about 20k miles. They still rode fine but the internal bumpstops were worn and causing a rattling noise when going over sharp bumps. I was suspicious of the strut mounts but new struts made the noise go away. I tried Staggs this time and they are way too soft for my preferences. The Sensens seemed to compliment the tein H techs nicely. I have about 10k miles on the Staggs and already have a set of Tokicos in the garage waiting to go in. No more cheap struts for me.

I'm definitely doing a trade in. My odometer just stopped working, I have ABS and airbag light on, and previous accidents (two previous owners.) Basically the car needs a valve cover and these struts (they're making a terrible squeaking noise) and I'll be good to go. The engine is good and I just did brakes, everything else mechanically is pretty good and there is no rust and the interior is clean. I finish school in about 1.5 years and I will be trading my beloved car in when I have a real income. $80 struts, here I come (I'm really hoping I can find a coil/strut assembly though)...

Their "economy" brand quick strut is FCS, it say's they're $93.83 atm but I can get them on ebay for a lot less. Anybody run FCS? You get a lifetime limited wty, but I doubt that means much.

I really do need them... I have very little cushion on bigger bumps anymore, and I have a lot of knocking noises on rough road. I also have a TERRIBLE squeaking sound that I get when going over even the smallest tiniest bumps.

Ha..hah ha...hahaha.
I'm pretty sure it's the strut/mount/bearing.
EDIT: Went with the FCS quick struts. Got them on Amazon for about $200. Will report back with results!

Thanks Nmex. I've heard book time anywhere from 1-2 hours. I think if I was more confident in what happens after I sawzall the links off, I'd do it myself. Or if I didn't need my car to get to work tomorrow. Lol. Pick your battles, as they say.

Front Strut
I replaced the front and rear struts with oem parts, my mistake and too expensive. Its better to get the monroe quick strut complete strut assembly .
