DRL Module Inspection
So the other day I noticed that my DRL's(Canadian car) weren't on, after that and trying the high beams only the drivers side high beam worked.
First I tried swapping the bulbs, both bulbs only worked in dr side high beam only. Then I tried a new set of bulbs that I had already and same case.
I found an old thread about repairing the DRL module, but all the pics are gone and it's kind of reliant on them. I also looked in the FSM but most of those wiring diagrams are beyond my understanding, and I couldn't find anything about the actual DRL module itself.
Please help, I'm on afternoons for the next week and a half and one high beam on the way home and no DRL's aren't safe.

When my DRL module did the same thing as you I removed it, behind passenger headlight, re soldered all connections and added solder to the spots that looked in need. Presto!
You could see a broken connection where a bar carries current from one point to another. Think there was two of them. I added solder to these probably higher amp connections. Good luck.

You don't need to read wiring diagrams to fix this. If you are confident that it is a DRL problem, you will need to remove the DRL module (located on passenger side between coolant reservoir and windshield washer fill neck).
I've had to repair mine 3 times. First couple of times I got it fixed by just adding a bit of solider to the sketchy looking spoiler points. The last time I had to resort to sucking out the old solider and re-applying it.
If you need to re-solider, I would recommend sticking to the contact points for the relays and harness connectors. That's usually where the weak solider points are.
BTW, a Google image search should come back with some decent pictures for you....good luck.

This worked like a charm.
After a close look, I found at least two pins that for sure had broken/bad connection. I touched up around 5 pins I think just to be sure.
I'm gonna do a write up with pics for others.
