Seatbelt help
Seat belt got stuck and wouldn't come out.. spring popped inside, removed it, got another but it rolled all the way up inside and I cant get it to release... how do I get it to release or do I have to buy yet another 1?

if you are buying belts from a car that has been hit in the front and the airbags deployed, your seatbelt are no good. The charge for the pretensioner exploded causing the belts not to retract/lock up on you. When you put the seat belt in the car do you still have an airbag light on the dash?

They operate by a weighted floating bearing. If the bearing is jossled and engages the seat belt lock, it will stick. Remove it, knock the bearing loose if you have to, allow slack you need with the belt, then re-install. If you are working on a hill, its possible that bearing is just locking it up because gravity.

Oh, and also don't tilt the case more than a few degrees from horizontal. As someone mentioned, the balance locks it up due to gravity.

You don't have to get another one. The rears are never locked up for good. If you feel capable enough, just take it apart and unroll it...then tie a knot and reseat the springs.
But if you've got a cheap source/no time to tinker with it, just get another and remember to tie a knot so the belt length is like someone is buckled in.
Let me try to find pictures to email you, because I usually take pictures when I do anything on my cars.
