couldn't decide if i wanted the fairing or not- was having trouble getting it to sit flat and got tired of messing with it. took it off, threw the bike rack up and this is how it will sit until i decide if the added noise truly bothers me

p0102 and p1102....limped to autozone for those codes.

Anyway I got the new MAF and a filter while I was at it today. Installed and did the pedal dance to reset the ECU. I didnt disconnect the battery, oops. All seems to be fine now. Damn that MAF was expensive!

Replaced main cat with a gutted cat. Not very exciting but kind of a first step to replacing the precats.

I pressed in my ES motor mounts.
i changed My water pump and thermostat and my Timing Chain Tensioner all with Genuine Nissan Parts. <----- i jumped timing doing the water pump and had to take off the timing cover to set the timing marks correctly only to put it all back together and still have the timing off 1 tooth.
now i have to redo that crap again this week. Grrrrrrr

I went off topic a little bit, But the last of it is

replaced the Radiator with a $61 koyo from rockauto.
replaced both belts.

changed all spark plugs with NGK/Nissan Single tip Platinum Spark Plugs. i had a hookup and got them for $8 bucks each at Star Nissan rather then the $13 they had them listed for.
cleaned my throttle body replaced the PCV.

all work was done with the Engine still in the car btw.

Hey are these strut braces any good? Reason I ask is because they're so cheap. I'm just getting the front done.

I had one. They are cheap but fairly solid once set up. I had to remove it though once I put on my NWP spacers. It will rub on the IM and I never got around to grinding so it would fit.

Took a hard drive down some windy roads thru the woods few nights ago with a buddy, these roads were in bad shape with bumps all over the place.

Long story short, this drive was bumpy enough and fast enough to blow my radiator.

Opened hood next day (which was yesterday) to find a bunch of coolant spray. Ordered new radiator from 1800radiator and got it within a few hours, replaced, good to go now.

Wow, like that rear seat!!

This past weekend I repainted my grill. Changed the shell from dark gray to silver in order to match the body color.

Today i plasti-dipped my recently bought (used) Racingline FSTB...and installed it on!
Front end seems a tad more planted on take off/bends.

I have way to many PENDING projects tho.

Used CarGuage Pro to adjust my idle RPM +100 to 800RPM instead of the stock 700. Feels much smoother that way at idle, and sounds so much better at idle and on decelerations.

CarGuage Pro is an awesome little app for what it's worth. Checked my timing with it, and it was on point at +2.

Anyone need timing advance? I'll do it free for any (no ricers) Max in my area. Doing it on a buddys 01 GLE today and then another 03 Max tomorrow.

I discovered what was making my car sound so good. I call it Natures Rumble.

5th Gen: What did you do to your 5th Gen today?-maxima-exhaust.jpg

I know this isn't the place but since it's my first post I'll fire some details out. '00 GLE, stock, in desperate need of some rims... Fuel economy is roughly 500 or less km's/ tank? It has been running regular all of its life, will be trying premium soon!

Drilled 4 inch Holes on Filter housing instead of using hangers to to GAB mob. Filed edged as smooth as possible (mehh). Enjoyed a nice run and felt the VQ wake up. Best FREE mod in my opinion.

Sitting to the side is all components i need for a sri minus the "right" maf adapter (one i have isnt gonna work)..that will be phase 2 of intake mods.

It what im going to do in a few days im most excited about--NWP block off plate install
