weird TPS issue

So i think i have the most backwards TPS issue... Ive been having TB issues and swapped out my DEK manifold (PITA) with a local who had one with a rigged up pftb on there... Needless to say after our install, we came across something weird, upon start up the car ruggles to rev to 3000 rpm much less pass it (sounds almost like i have a two step limiter lol)... Now when we disconnect the TPS, the car revs fine, but seems more smoke come out the tail pipe which i guess thats expected... Wgats confusing is the car acting up while its hooked up but runs fine while disconnected... Any advice?

When the tps is disconnected, the ecu has a fail safe and runs the engine as if it were at ~90% throttle. That's the case on my 4th gen, but I'm sure the 5th gen does something similar.

Obvious question to me would be is the TPS any good, have you tested it? And was it installed and calibrated? Is pin 1 +5V from the ECU?

no, only thing I can really go off, is the fact that it was working in the previous car... another random question, can one use the tps from my DEK on the pftb?.. just a random thought

So you removed the TPS from the old TB and mounted to a new one? If so, did you recalibrate once installed on the new one or just screw it on and hope for the best?

I would think so. I used my DE tps on a dek tb as well as a pftb.

No the TB on my old Manifold was messing up so we changed the whole manifold to another one with the PFTB... I would've just changed the PFTB but like stated earlier, its kinda rigged on there so I had to change the manifold also... so now I have 2 UIM, one with my DEK tps and one with pftb tps... I haven't removed any TPS as yet, but im asking can I remover the TPS from my DEK TB and use it on the PFTB TB
