2000 VQ30DEK advanced timing question

Hello, i recently did the advanced timing mod on my 2000 I30. However i would like to know if it is normal for the timing itself to vary from 16-18 on idle. I know that before it would vary from 13-15 without the advance meaning that 16-18 seems pretty right with a 2 degree advance. I just want to know if the timing varying from 16-18 on idle is normal. I really appreciate any help and i would not mind any kind of info regarding this issue thanks!!!!

I Did it at my school, I'm currently in highschool we have a SNAPON SOLUS ULTRA in the automotive class and it worked flawlessly with the ignition timing advance.

Cool, be nice to see if it does. No reason why it shouldn't.

Went to 4 Dealerships before found kool guy to understand and do it. One was completely confused to what i wanted and why i wanted to do that finnally told me one hr labor 128bux.....one was saying their responsable for damage to my car and was against police....ones consult II was down. Final Dealer drove a Z and knew exactly what i wanted and even brought me into shop and let me watch him bump it up. took ten mins cuz scanner said my engine was too hot 230degrease it got to 180 and he bumped it up n showed me 2degrease advanced is all the consult II will do. so if ur at 13 stock u can only goto 15btw...mine was 15 stock so went to 17.

umm ran slower when i left and sloppy on 89 octane i filled up on 93 octane and she came alive. its a tad bit more responsive but no faster. but every last o2 sensor is bad and I'm stock exhaust. once ypipe and sensors replaced and vris fixxed i guarantee shell open up a good 40hp.

guy did it free and told me were good but if u wanna tip my guy go ahead i threw him $30. he was happy i was happy at end of day.

Has anyone verified if the Cipher works on 00-01's?

That be easier since all you need to do is find a Cipher owner in your are and have them do it.
