car steamed and rad fan issue ?
Soon as I get home I noticed steam bellowing out from under the hood, cant get a clear look because the snorkel ess in the way but from patches it looks like the big rad hose. I walked the 8 mile round trip to oreilly snd got the hose and coolant.
I put it on and run car hot and even at 2k rpm to see if she leaks again. she doesnt but then I noticed drivrrs si

Both fans run low/high and both always run together at the same time. If one fan isn't running then it is likely bad. Common issue with the 2000 Max. With the AC on both fans should be running. You can waste a lot of time checking fuses and relays but it's always the fan. Buy a complete 2 fan housing for under $100. Simple to install. If both fans are running with AC on then there are many more possibilities, probably a sensor.

If a fan doesn't kick on it could be the fan relay. It happened to mine recently, and the relay had blown. Check the simple stuff like the fuses, relays, and the like before buying the fans. If that isn't it, it could be the fan is just shot

First check fuse # 40. It is under the hood by the battery and the cover calls it "RAD FAN 1. If the fuse is OK, then swap relays (located in front of the battery) RAD FAN 1 with RAD FAN 3 and see if the problem changes. If no change, you have a bad fan motor.
