VIDEO FIXED! ABS Pulsing in Reverse? Help Please!
Firt of all, I'm sorry to the 20 orgers that wasted a click on this before I got the video fixed. I didn't realize I didn't know how til I tried to do it. I still didn't get it playable from the thread, it'll take you to photobucket. Here's the deal:
I've had my '03 SE Auto for 6 years now and I love my baby except for this issue. When you're backing up at like 10mph and hit the brakes it makes a strange clicking/clunking sound that is definitely coming from the front end and acts like it's not going to stop. I know, I know, there's no reason to go backwards that fast but it still concerns me. The brake pedal pulses in unison with the clicks. I'm pretty sure it's ABS related but I have no idea why it does it. I've asked some mechanic buddies of mine and they agree it's probably ABS but they're clueless beyond that so I finally took a video and figured I'd turn ya'll loose on it. Everything functions perfectly when going forward and my ABS light is not on. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Again, I apologize for the first thread. I hope I don't get demoted back to noob status! Hahaha!

That's a new one. I'm not 100% but here's a way to narrow it down:
If you suspect the ABS sensor you could always remove it (carefully) and see if the noise goes away. Your light will be on but that's ok. If the noise is gone replace the (already removed) sensor with a new one. If the noise is still there...reinstall that sensor

Didn't have a chance to pull sensors yesterday but I got to thinking. I feel like a jacka$$. I actually paid attention this morning and my ABS light does not light up when starting the car. All my other lights, SES, Tranny etc. light up for a second then go out as they should. Shouldn't the ABS be coming on and running onboard diagnostics and then either going out if all is well or staying on if there's issues?

Thanks fellas. I'm not really worried about pulling the cluster as I've done all my own stereo installs since I started driving, interiors are kinda like lego's. I've been thinking about swapping over to LED's anyway so I may just wait til I come to a final decision on that. Also the clear plastic gauge cluster cover has a burn mark on it that gets on my OCD nerves when I detail my car so I may replace it all together. If I choose not to go LED I'm assuming I can pick up the ABS bulb at the Stealership for around $5 or are they standard Parts Store stuff?

It actually does come on at Start Up, when I looked this morning I had only had car off for less than a minute while running into the store. I just picked it up from the Inspection Station and it DOES in fact come on then go off almost immediately as it should. I just feel like if a sensor was bad it would catch it and stay on. I guess I'm back to pulling the sensors individually and seeing if the problem persists with them out/disconnected.
