Crusing pictures with my buddies mustang

Hey all.

Just thought I would post some pictures from today. We got bored and just decided to cruise around and ended up taking some pictures. Also, what would look good on my car as far as cosmetic mods.

Thanks, RC

Well.... the grass isn't mine. The grass is kept up by the Mexicans. I'm thinking its the taco seasoning they use for fertilizer. Not positive but the more important thing is the car... seeing this is a Maxima forum, not a grass forum.....

Have a nice night.

Maybe start with the clear or smoked side markers.

Yea I know. I'm saving mucho dinero for my mods. I'm actually ordering the cleared side markers when I get my paycheck tomorrow so that will help. After that I'm going to buy a set of shocks/struts and lowering springs used from someone on the org I'm hoping. I'm thinking Vogtlands or H&R's. Also, a lot of people are selling 350z rims on craigslist around me for 200-500 some with some w/o tires so that's the next step. I had my rims plastidipped black but I didn't like it. Ill post a picture when I get home. Anyways thanks for the tips guys I love reading everything on the forums.

Peace,

RC

my wheels in my sig are plasti dip gold metalizer over black plasti dip. its temporary till i get enough to powdercoat gold. But I would get the springs first while keeping the black wheels to differentiate from other maxis out there

Yea your rims look really cool. The problem is with mine that they are the GLE 16's. Who puts 16's on a freaking SE. They are ugly as hell I think so I'm going to lower it first, then i'm going to get some 18" Z's.

Assuming your car is truly in as good condition as these pics, absolutely. Just because it's new doesn't mean it still isn't a Mustang.

Who cares which one is faster? That's not relevant to which is the better car.

What happened you had a mustang break down on you in the middle of nowhere? It seems you have a serious dislike for the stangs.

While they do invoke some sense of appreciation as the GT 5.0 rumbles on by, overall I find them cheap and tacky, lacking in any design finesse. They seem... disposable. Never owned one, but have driven countless Stangs over the last 30 years, and all of them are equally unappealing.

I remember a few years ago, test driving the 2010 GT 6MT with the 4.6L V8, and then getting back into my 2003 Maxima and thinking, "Man do I have the better car."

Don't get me wrong, the new 5.0 GT is a monstrously fast car. But there are more things to enjoy out of a car than straight-line speed.

A 2k max can run low to mid 14's in the quarter stock?

Tint...clear corners...drop...rims

Appearance mods in that order, in my opinion. Rims before drop never works.

No. But it's far more rewarding to enjoy driving a quality car than it is to go slightly faster in a POS.

Not everybody drinks beer to get drunk... that's what Budweiser and bowling alleys are for.

Wow that's kind of funny. I already had tint on the car when I got it. Now I just ordered the clear corners tonight. I'm going in your order already.

First thing would have to be get rid of the lame 16" wheels, even if it is for stock SE 17's.

I'm with you completely. You have no idea how much I hate those things. The problem is they have BRAND new tires from the previous owner and I cant afford to buy new wheels and tires. I'm only 16 with a low paying job....

haha I hear you, kid and I'm only 29 with a decent paying job

I bought my 99SE in January, the first few days i bought brand new tires. Took me a couple months before I realized I wanted different wheels. So until my current tires go bad, which will be a long while...I'm on stock rims as well. It's ok...as previously mentioned, drop before rims anyhow.

Start saving, then it won't be as difficult to buy new tries and rims @ the same time.

Fair enough!

I totally missed the maxima/mustang thing, I can't say for sure as I've never driven a 2011+ v6 or v8 mustang but I'd have to imagine it to be light years ahead of my 2002 Maxima. Not only does the v6 have great power but they can also handle and get great gas mileage.
