Polishing Timing Cover

I was looking at the timing cover and it looks totally gross. So I bought some polish from the local Advanced auto and a polishing kit for the dremel. I used the medium brush to get the dirt and grime off. Then I put the polish on by hand and buffed it out with the dremel polishing buffer. I also did the same to the fuel rails. These were the results. Anyone else polish their covers or anything else? Would be nice to see pics.....

Nice way to clean up the engine bay. I might have to do that, too!

..after I remove the layer of dirt and grease covering stuff
