Alternator Replacement Issues

I bought a new alternator from napa auto parts a few days ago and right after i bolted it up i noticed the connector on the new alt. is different from the oem one. I don't have pictures at the moment but the connector on the aftermarket alt. is more narrow than oem and has two bigger pins. Is there a different harness (the one that plugs into the ac compressor/alternator) i can buy that is compatible with this napa alt. or should i get a refund for it and get one elsewhere that has the same connector? Also if I would take it back, has anyone had any luck with advance or autozone? thanks.

Return it and let them know it has the incorrect connector. Parts sometimes get boxed or labeled wrong.

Had the same thing happen to me buying a Knock Sensor the other day. I ended up having to go to an online Nissan dealer to find the correct part number and the vender I was using had to cross reference the number to find the correct part.

Thanks a lot for the replies everyone, I ended up taking it back and it turns out the alternator i got was for a 2002 Altima instead so he must of heard me wrong when ordering it.

He's just an idiot. EVERYONE thinks they're the same car. I guess it's a mental thing with the names being similar.

Debadge your car and everyone will ask you if it's an altima. I just sigh lol.
