radio, clock, and park light

My buddy just bought an 03 max w/ 45k miles on it yesterday. He txted me this morning saying when he starts the car his radio presets get erased, the radio blinks, the clock blinks, and the park light blinks (its an auto). He said it blinks like 15 times then stops then blinks a couple more times then stops. He said the car runs great and starts with no problem. Only thing is that its got a remote start but it happens whether or not its used.

anyone got an idea of what could be up?

I never had a remote starter but I could guess that the wiring was done incorrectly. Was it installed by a pro? Has the problem been constant since your buddy got the car?

he bought the car from a local nissan dealer but im not sure who installed the remote starter. He bought the car yesterday and noticed it this morning when all his radio presets were gone which he set on his way home from the dealer.

hes gonna take it back but the dealer is an hour from where he lives so he was trying to see if he could figure out what was going on so they wouldnt need the car for more than a day.

Bummer about the drive. But at least it will be fixed and other people are held accountable for it.
