qx1 touch up match?

has anyone had a decent match with touch up paint? I went to a auto supply house , they looked at the code, and mixed me up some ppg paint in a can. Its way to white, no matter how many coats of pearl I put on.

Well your stock paint is faded now and you should of told them to adjust for this. Dr color chip makes a very nice touch up but it is pricey as far as a touch up paint goes, from $40 to $60 but its well worth it IMO as every other touch up at the auto parts store is going to blob and stand out when in the sun

The guy looked at the car himself and gave me a sample that seemed to match. I spent 72 on the 2 cans base and clear. I dont care cause im gonna use that up on the dash trim around the radio and shifter..
Have you tried that kit on a qx1?

Yea it will work on any chip. I would get the middle kit unless you have alot of touch ups to do. Its more than enough and the xtra brushes and larger blending solution come in handy TRUST

Im gonna try it out. I have a bunch on chips in my hood. But theres a few spots that started to rust, Its not a small area Im gonna use it on . Il let you know how it works.

If anyone has had any success with bigger spots. about the size of a fist lemme know. Theres the pic. The bumper im gonna bring to a shop, but besides that spot I have more a little smaller then that, and dent on my door im gonna pull out and paint the holes. Im not spending 2000 to fix it all, I rather do the small stuff my self.

That bright white, next to the light is where it was rusting. I sanded it down primed and painted it. Thats how it came out.

oh ok. The dr colorchip should work on any size but the bigger it is, the harder it is to blend/look right. Maybe the bigger kit is for you lol
