Coolant bypass on a 2000

Coolant bypass on a 2000 ?
I want to bypass the IACV in hopes of prevention of shorting it out. However, I can't wrap my head around the simple idea. On a 2000 I know there is the inlet then the outlet goes to something under the IACV...EGR? So should I simply route the inlet to (EGR ?) that or bypass that also?

I believe your engine is the same as my 01, so I would just connect the in and out together. All you want to do is keep the coolant away from the IACV, so connecting the two tubes will do that. I am about to do the same thing to mine. IMO, this is not a worthwhile mod if you don't also disconnect your electric motor mounts. I don't know which one fried my ECU, but when I get my board back it won't matter because neither will be able to affect it again.

^^^Yup I already unplugged those. the previous owner had changed all the mounts except the rear one which has a big hole in it. Even though the front one is brand new with the sticker still on it I unplugged that also.
