New Cat Back System

Ok i bought a catback off ebay from the member speed_factory, i just want to say iam very pleased with it, only issue i had was it did not list that it deleted that little step down piece with the O2 sensor, bung welded in place no big deal, here 2 vids i made to demostrate how it sounds, Ill post a better one later.

Sounds very nice. You should post a video of the camera at the tail pipe and rev it.

What was the price of that exhaust? It looks good. I like how the muffler isn't a large looking drum too.

Looks good. Not a fan on the single tip exhaust but it does sound good especially for the price.

Nice price spent some money on a professionally installed 22" Magnaflow 4" round resonator....and maybe even a larger rear muffler......and you'll have an even better system.....If you ever feel the sound is to much you can always treat it as a tubing system wanting on even better components......

I see a major issue with this. It is not stainless steel internally and will rust out quickly. You'll just end up with a empty canister as it rusts away and blows out the rear.

The rest of the exhaust should be ok. I have the eBay N1 style cat-back and it's been thru 2 or more winters with no corrosion or rust issues...

Thats ok, I did not use that part, it was to long, had fitment issues, still have oem cat on.

Total price i paid was $128 for the catback with free shipping and $29 for the cat with free shipping, i installed it myself.

You installed yourself? Looks like an OEM Maxima exhaust cut up on the floor @ the mufflershop....You have a Muffler shop or just work there? You oughta let some of these guys know where you're at if you do and you can do alot of local Maxima(s) modded their exhaust......

Gotta love ebay for the catbacks man. It cost so much to have a muffler shop custom build you one when ebay sells them for a fraction of the price and it stainless steel.

I can't wait to add my headers and y-pipe to make it a full system then hit the drag strip to see what gain i'll make from my last season disappionting 15.5 1/4 mile run

I put the silencer in for the first time today, I swear i gained 20 hp, its quieter and very responsive and very snappy, I had to put it in because its so loud it sets off car alarms when i start her haha, Most likely i will take it out on meets or on nice summer days.

Nice, i could not use the high flow cat either, you are going to have to weld a bung in for the O2 sensor in the rear, So far mine is zip tied under the car, no SES for over 200 miles yet lol

It sounds good on the videos...
Im assuming that everything is stock from headers to the cat...
How is the sound when cruising at around 75 mph? Can you tell you have an exhaust or only if you step on it. Im really intrigued by this, espeicially for the price, I just dont want that drone sound when cruising

Sounds nice! Can't beat the price either. I paid a total of $290 for a Magnaflow and a stainless tip after installation.

When cruising you cant really tell its there untill you get on it , there is some drone at lower speed, but with the silencer you really dont notice it, without it tho its loud enough and it sets off car alarms

Not a problem, a little welding never a problem with me. It would be wierd for me not to have to weld anything with an exhaust install honestly. Never bought a completely bolt on exhaust for anything (I'm a cheap ***) but the pipe on this is too far gone to just replace the muffler and this was just too good of a price.

This sounds like a great deal, how does it sound on your 5.5 Morris? I have gutted cats and a cattman y-pipe, and was considering his 3", but this year it's just not in the budget. I'm not really a fan of the single tip, but as said its not huge so it looks decent. You can't really go wrong considering I can have it shipped to my door, in Canada for around $150. I had a look on eBay and the one i found looks like it may have a coffee can tip, could someone post the link for the one u guys got?

It sounds good, I have a bone stock exhaust with cats. I haven't had the time to take the silencer out to see how it sounds without it yet. I'm very happy with it.
