Need help with p0057

This is the only code i have after gutting the precat and using anti foulers.. Its for some type of heater thats inside of the oxygen sensor thats not reaching the proper temp..
I need to know is this for the post or precat sensors, and i keep hearing of a o2 sensor fuse thats under the hood but i cant locate it... which fuse am i looking for?

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...on-issues.html Merry christmas =D. It could be the sensor, OR you may just need an O2 simulator. just look at that link i sent you and it will explain everything.

How about the location of the fuse that handles the oxygen sensors? I didnt see that any where in the link.. Simulators wouldnt work because p0057 leans toward a wiring vs efficiency problem..

I got the same codes but because secondaries aren't plugged in, because installed headers, and they say a o2 Sim would work since it will trick the EDU to believe its plugged in, but who knows where find those right now....GL...

Not to my knowledge, i made some calls from and the two people i have heard from, none know of oxygen sensors running from a fuse. From my experience, any code a o2 sensor throws pertaining to voltage just means its no longer good. However you gutted your pre cat which will throw a code. Let me make one more phone call and i will get back to you.

Ok, he says you can take the spark plug non foulers, drill a hole in one and screw another into it and it becomes an O2 spacer. Hope that helps.

no codes due to the gutted cats, just the low voltage heater circuit code coming from a new sensor.. i will have to double check my connections at the harness..

I used sparkplug antifoulers for the post sensors... they move the sensors out of the exhaust stream to make the ecu think they are working.. Are all the sensors (pre and post) heated sensors or is it just the post oxygen sensors?

Need help regarding oxygen sensor

I have a 2003 Maxima SE with 106,000 miles. Two weeks ago my check engine light came on and code was P0057 (heated oxygens sensor bank 2 sensor 2). I took it to a friend who reset the code and for past 2 weeks the light has not come on again. Would you recommend still changing the oxygen sensor or is car fine to drive until it comes back on (if it comes back on). Car has been running fine even when the check engine light was on and even now with the light reset. Thanks.
