How often do you pop your hood?

My wife says I have a problem. I have to pop my hood on the 5.5 gen at least once a day. I'll open it to just look around, plan on other mods and sometimes for the hell of it . On my 7th gen I'll do it maybe once a week. I think I do less often on my 7th gen cause everything is covered up?

Usually only when I have to top up the washer fluid and in the winter that can be once a week. But otherwise in the summer I only pop it when it starts making noises that I've never heard before, or when I see smoke.

I don't really see a point, girls don't care about that kinda stuff anyways.

Now if I had a 2JZ....

At the least, whenever I put it in the garage for the day. However, since I only drive it a few times a week ('cause I mostly work from home), then that's my answer: a few times a week.

On top of the "normal" once or twice a day I also do it every time I fill up to check the oil. That in itself took me 3 weeks on how to read that dum dipstick.

Huh? uppet:

Pull it, wipe it, insert it, pull it, turn it over, look at it... add oil.

It's pretty straight-forward. You can find the instructions on the back of any box of condoms.

You crack me up. Lots of times the oil is covering the entire dipstick with no clear line to see where the level was at. I had only added 4 quarts so I knew it was not full.

If looking under the hood every day keeps him happy and out of trouble, let him have at it.

There's no issue here. Once you start having conversations with the car, while you check things, that's when it gets a bit worrying.

Perhaps he keeps the bong in the garage? Everyone needs a man-cave, you know.

Does talking to yourself count while working on the car? (Bong optional).

Usually once every 2 gas fill-ups. Recently a little more often due to the PS hose leaking a little more than usual.

I actually salute my car as I pull out in my 7th gen I think I have a problem. Thats typically when my wife looks at me shaking her head.

Respecting the first love. Although that 7th gen is pretty sexy.

Its OK. I go thru the same thing. She thinks I'm talking to other women online. Then she'll actually turn the MAC and see what I am reading. Then guess what? She just shakes her head again.

Before being influenced by Roch: once every other month
After being influenced by Roch: once a day, and two-three times a day on weekends

I was once asked: if you like Rochester's engine bay so much why don't you marry it?

Well I tried...didn't work out

"You love that car more than you love me".

Oh, and by the way, I only pop the hood once or twice a week. It doesn't use oil, but I check anyway.

I remember those days when being **** about the underhood of my Maxima was an obsession. That hood was opened more than it was closed on a daily.

I poped it today and found a small radiator leak on the upper side, right under where the large coolant hose connects to the radiator on the driver side... I put some RTV sealant over it and hope it will take care of it...

I like to pop the hood to find out everything is fine... Not good when you see dried coolant all over your battery...

Better order a new radiator now. Once these radiators start leaking, they only get worse.
