Where can I buy a bit for these weird screws that hold my new sensor in?

If they're the ones with the dot sticking up in the middle of the screw head then its a security torx. You can find them at Autozone or Advance Auto, but they usually come in a set of assorted bits and tools, not just by themselves.

I tried parts source, and crappy tire who have them, but they are all 6-star and this is a ****ing 5. Apparently these bits are really hard to find, FML

Fingers crossed, I did the thermistor swap and put the new mafs in... it revved beautifully right away, I am so happy. I did the ecu reset an the light has not come back on, so we'll see what happens there. Thanks tuner for your input, and the member who posted the swap write up. Now I can do my new calipers and pads, then... finally, my y pipe.

Me too, my best explanation for why it happened is when I taped up that rubber tube, and opened up the air box all the new air flow must have pooched that maf. It was from a wrecking yard I'm pretty sure, so hopefully it was just a ****ty one. Plus, now I own and know how to use a multi meter, not bad. But really, thanks for spoon feeding me that trouble shoot procedure, I found the fsm from nicoclub that I will def use now

Happy to help, and happy you have some electrical testing abilities under your belt now!

Oh, and I bet a little piece of something got by the filter and clipped the MAFS, no way it would roast that fast unless something clipped it, or perhaps it was a random coincedance. Either way, you have it fixed!

I really do appreciate it, it was a little overwhelming for me (due to my lack of experience). I was a little frantic this time, but the next time Im sure it will be much better haha

I pretty new to the max world around here, so if there's any meet you go to or want to organize, lemme know, I'm down for sure.
