want to replace the motor mounts...03 SE AT..

just want to know which ones are the electric on my 03 SE AT?
if i replace them with ones which is not electric... will there be any problem? (engine light or anything?)

I know there are four mounts in total.. are two of them on the cross member? and one close to the drive belt, the other one is close to the transmission?

I found a set of mounts for $94 on ebay...and I dont think I can do the job by myself.... anyone can give me an idea of the labor fee? I had a quote for 400 to replace them..(just labor)...is it fair..?

Thanks in advance...

yes you can.. i was quoted 250-300, but i ended up doing them myself 2 days ago. It was a bit of a pain, but fairly straightforward.

250-300 for the torque mounts, front and rear, so that 400 quote sounds about right for 4. While i was doing the job I got so frustrated to the point I was ready to pay someone to come finish it for me. But after some more reading here on the org i got it done. All in all, i saved a good chunk of change doing it myself, and it wasnt really that difficult. Read all of the threads on changing motor mounts a few times and you have to decide whether or not your capable/willing to do it. As long as you have some strength on you, its very doable.

searched for this, and got some idea but not thoroughly know what will be going on...

So is there anyway I can take the mounts(by the radiator and firewall) out without taking off the cross member?

how about the passenger side mount and transmission mount? how to replace them...
\most threads are about the front and rear ones...

anyone can give me a hint? thanks

Your probably better off just taking the crossmember out. Its a pretty tight fit in there and doing under the car with limited space can be tricky. Is there a reason you dont want to remove the crossmember?
