Shifter ****-What are you running?

So with 90K miles my **** is starting to look rough. Honestly its the only thing that shows any type of wear in my interior. Should I stick with an OEM ****? Its pretty light and I was sure a weighted **** would really help shifting. There is a FAT weighted one on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/M1-Ab...#ht_4695wt_941
But its not cheap and I am afraid an aftermarket will interfere with the reverse lock out.

The AE shift **** is the wart on an otherwise beautiful car.

If it were mine, I'd delete that thing ASAP.

Here, I fixed it for you. Although it's probably going to take some getting used to.

Probably going to grind Reverse a few times, but 5MT is so 1990.

I definitely need to order me a new OEW one...mine is literally all black now and the leather outer pieces are long gone so the whole shifter is gloss black lol. It honestly doesn't look bad but the center piece is loose

That's the biggest issue with mine at 104k. I will be replacing it with a new OEM one for sure.

from normal use? no. it could get scratched up if you have a ring on your fingers. mine get scratched (very very tiny. you will notice it if you look at it from 10 inches away) from a screw driver which i drop it while i was changing my map light bulb.

Titanium finish, weighted **** on the 5MT... I like that better. On the 5MT.

After years of watching (and occasionally searching) for a better-than-stock **** on the 6MT, I've come to the conclusion that there isn't one.

+1 on OEM 5.5 gen ****. Definitely one of my favorite looking shift ***** in the cars I've driven.

Interesting to know it was in the R34 as well.

The AE **** looks Okay, but i don't think its as nice as the 5.5 gen ****.
