Hesitation Issue - Possible Fix? (spring stretch)

I'm not having this issue but I know a lot of 4th and 5th genners have hesitation issues. I remember how much of a bish it was to have this issue when I had my '99...and buying new coils at $55-75 was the only fix. This possible fix is something I happened to come across looking for something else.

The mod itself seems to be a popular thing amongst the MazdaSpeed 3 & 6 community. Under WOT, they will sometimes experience a hesitation/stutter issue. One thing they suggested to try was to take out each coil pack and stretch the spring inside a little. It was noted that the spring doesn't come into complete contact with the spark plug, sometimes a 4mm gap. By stretching the spring, a better contact can be made between the coil pack and spark plug.

Is this something Maxima owners could do to help hesitation/stutter under WOT? Do the Maxima coil packs come apart as the Mazda coils do?

I don't know, it's something free to try if anyone wants to try it out on their own. Again I don't have the issue on my 5.5 at all but maybe it could help someone.

After ~10 minutes of reading on what "spark blowout" is, I don't think our cars would be affected by this mod, which aims at reducing the blowout.

I understand spark blowout, somewhat, but thought it was pertaining to the spark plugs themselves since they are in the cylinder. This mod pertains to the coil and it's internals before the spark plug.

...mostly FI cars suffer from spark blowout when there is too much gap on the plugs themselves. This is due to higher cylinder compression, and the spark is either weakened or 'blown out' rendering it ineffective. (causing hesitation, stumbling or sputtering)
