I really don't care if the new units have the camber plates on the correct sides. Mine are worng and have been installed for 20k miles. I want BC to make things right for all of us who have/ had this issue. It takes money and time to fix it. When my coilovers were installed and aligned my cross camber was .6, max is 1.0. I have -.3 on one side and -.9 on the other. I feel that with camber plates camber should be equal on both sides therefore cross camber should be zero. With camber plates on the wrong side facing diagonal the caster of the wheel is compromised if the BC,s are not dead center in the camber plate slot.

Moving the spring perch up increases preload on the spring. Which actually raises the ride height but the wrong way. You don't want more preload than 5 mm (turning the spring perch up 5mm from the point where it's barley compressing the spring. )

How is everyone measuring their ride height? Ground to fender? Ground to rocker panel? Lower in the front than the rear? Or even all around? Wonder what the ground to fender distance is on a Max or I30 with stock struts and wheels and tires?

Ok, bringing up an old thread, how is everyone's coilovers holding up, especially in the northeast where it got cold down to like 30s last week. I might have to take this out, I didn't change any of the settings, but my suspension felt very different the last few days.

I did a quick check, they don't seem blown, no leaks and they seem to rebound fine when I push down on each corner, but it feels a lot stiffer/harsh and louder on little bumps and I feel vibration in the whole vehicle over roads that I used to go over before with no problems. Most of it feels like from the rear passenger side of the vehicle though, I dunno what other parts of the suspension to check over there.

this would be my first year running coilovers in the cold...i've read that they need 'warm up' time...in essence not just go out and beat on them w/o riding on them to get them....use to the cold weather...so to speak. but ill be going back stock after a little while.

I have searched and came to many dead links. I read the difference between the bc coilovers, but is there user reviews or prefrences from one version to another. Also do they all have the same adjustabilities?

Just have to read here and there but these are superior to my Eibach and Tokico Blues, had mine on for about a month or so and love them ....im in Cali so not cold weather but they are definitely worth the money IMO....

Turn the dampening down to a softer setting.

I'm prolly gonna switch to something different too, don't want stock, but some spring/strut combo, not coilovers.

Thanks for the tip. I'm in no rush, stocks still feel good.

But uggh whats up with people trying to get rid of their coils, I thought it was supposed to be superior to anything else.

To set the dampening, turn it all the way to the right which is the hard setting, and that is set at 0. Each turn back counterclockwise is 1 level towards soft, so like for me, I turned it back 10 clicks.

Gonna do some more height and dampening adjustment before I get a wheel alignment.
Ahh, fellow NY'er?
I'm looking into getting coilovers for my 19'ers.. But i'm not even sure how much to lower or anything. Very new in the coilover/springs department..
