Finally found a MT Max for sale in Vegas

It has some problems though. First is that it is at some mom&pop dealership that has it listed 33% over KBB clean retail, second being that it seems to be leaking some sort of oil from somewhere behind the CV shaft on right side. I drove it, it pulls slightly to the right. I've set up an appointment to have it inspected at a Nissan dealership (aka get it on a lift so I can look) but was hoping to get some theories as to what might be the problem before then. Oil has a reddish tint. It didn't smell sulfury like the the tranny oil on when I did the clutch on my old 4th gen. The oil spot was about 6in back and 18-24 across from the right front wheel.

Uh... Yeah well good thing i don't want nor can i afford a ferrari. Just want a decent maxima and was hoping for someone to read my post and perhaps offer some speculation as to what I am dealing with? I think you think I have bought the car? That is not the case I have only looked at it and am having it inspected by a 3rd party on Monday before I do anything as far as buying.

the oil leak could be from the rear valve cover, have them check that

I took my Maxima to a Nissan dealer before I actually bought it....If the time would go back to that moment,I would rather take it to my friend shop to take a better look at...the dealer wasn't of very much help rather tham saying "past or small valve cover gasket"

P.S. ......... And also if the time would go back , I wouldn't be very much religious about getting a 6 speed (bearing in mind that many of those used 6 speed were abused in one way or the other in some point in the past)...Turns out that my wife 03 GLE is much better , smoother and efficient than my 02 MT..............

Power steering fluid would be a good guess, I think.

...and a very common problem on our cars.

The mom and pop lot that I got my car from was selling the car under the normal value because it had a manual transmission and they thought that would make it hard to sell.

Cool well I'm hoping it is nothing major. If after all this time of looking elsewhere a decent one finally showed up here in Vegas that would be pretty awesome.
